joining vertices takes too long time

Hi,
It takes over one hour to join vertices, see the file(528471 vertices, 176157 faces): https://app.box.com/s/o13pkax79fqwqx7i52m0dgj3pz67odgq
Is there any way to speed up?

Thanks for your model. It indeed takes a long time to join vertices for this model. We will try to find and fix the problem as soon as possible. I will let you know when the new fixed version is released.
